Bulk Instagram DMs with IGDM

Reaching Out at Scale

Sending Bulk Instagram DMs

For Instagram-first creators, DMs often outperform email on open rate. IGdm Pro (igdm.me) is a desktop app (Windows, macOS, Linux) that sends bulk Instagram DMs in a controlled way from your own account.

What It Does (The Parts That Matter for Outreach)

  • Bulk DMs to up to 1,000 users with {firstname} / {username} merge tags, AI-personalized variants, and A/B message versions so sends don't look identical.
  • Lead generation / scraping — export the people who liked or commented on any public post, or who follow any account, and pull business emails/phone numbers into a CSV ready to message. Handy for building a shortlist from a competitor's post.
  • Comment-to-DM — auto-DM anyone who comments on your (or a competitor's) post, filtered by keyword.
  • Follow-to-DM welcome messages, keyword auto-replies, message scheduling, and per-campaign reply-rate analytics.
  • Account warm-up — paced feed scrolling, story views, and likes to ease the account into heavier sending and reduce flag risk.

Pricing

Individual plans, as of mid-2026:

All plans include AI personalization and warm-up. There's a 10-day free trial, no card required. Prices change, so confirm on igdm.me before you buy.

Honest caveat: IGdm Pro is not a Meta-approved tool — it automates your account through a local browser session rather than the official API. Many run it without issues, but that's exactly why the conservative limits and warm-up below matter. Keep volume low and you stay safe.

The Flow

  1. Install the IGDM extension and connect the Instagram account you'll send from (use a real, established account, not a brand-new one).
  2. Import your target list — usernames of the creators on your shortlist.
  3. Write your DM template with a personalization placeholder for the opening line.
  4. Set safe sending limits — Instagram is strict about automation, so keep volume low (well under 50/day to start), add delays between messages, and send in small batches.
  5. Send in batches and watch for action blocks. If Instagram throttles you, slow down immediately; pushing through gets the account restricted.
  6. Reply manually to anyone who responds — move the conversation to a human as soon as they engage.

Do's and Don'ts

  • Do use an aged, active Instagram account with a complete profile — new accounts get blocked fast.
  • Do keep daily volume conservative and add randomized delays between sends.
  • Do personalize the first line; a templated "Hey! Collab?" gets reported.
  • Don't blast hundreds of DMs in a day — that's the fastest route to an action block or ban.
  • Don't include links in the first DM; Instagram flags messages with links from unfamiliar accounts.
  • Don't ignore throttling warnings — back off the moment you see one.
